Disability Assistance

Air Travel For Those Who Require Disability Assistance

Passengers with disabilities may have numerous concerns and inquiries regarding their air travel experience. They may wonder about the preparation process, what specific type of assistance is provided at Fuerteventura Airport, the accessibility of this assistance, and the procedures during the flight.

Plan your journey – for individuals with specific needs

Fuerteventura Airport offers assistance for people with reduced mobility and disabled individuals to make their trip easier. This service is called Barriers Free Service or Sin Barreras.

This provision requires careful planning. It is advisable to make reservations several days in advance. Airlines request a minimum notice period of 48 hours before a flight, and failure to comply may result in denied booking. This policy is enforced due to safety regulations, as airlines can only accommodate a limited number of passengers requiring special assistance on each flight. Moreover, requests for assistance made less than 48 hours before the flight may not allow sufficient time for coordination with the airport.

How to book mobility assistance

To request assistance in advance call + 34 91 321 10 00 which is open from 0700am until 00:00.

To ensure a smooth airport experience, we recommend arriving at least two and a half hours before your flight departure. Please check in with your airline at their designated desk or attend the information point below for assistance. If your flight is scheduled for the early morning, please check the terminal’s opening times.
